Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Series Redefines AI-Powered Productivity
Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11, presenting its most advanced and intelligent tablet lineup yet. Designed around the fusion of AI innovation and premium hardware, the series builds on Samsung’s long legacy in mobile productivity and creativity. The highlight is the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, now the thinnest Galaxy Tab at just 5.1 mm, demonstrating how powerful performance can still fit into an ultra-slim and portable design. Both models introduce Galaxy AI, powered by One UI 8, with multimodal capabilities that transform how users interact with their devices—whether through typing, voice, or vision.
At the heart of this launch is a push toward seamless, AI-driven productivity. Galaxy AI tools integrate deeply into workflows, turning routine actions into natural, intuitive experiences. Gemini Live, for example, enables real-time screen sharing and contextual interpretation of whatever is on screen, whether lecture notes, study charts, or web content. By pressing and holding the side button, users can summon Gemini to summarize long articles, organize them directly into Samsung Notes, or execute commands across apps with a single instruction. For creators, Drawing Assist refines rough sketches into polished visuals, while Writing Assist helps fine-tune tone and style in documents. The floating AI overlay ensures multitasking is uninterrupted, providing quick summaries or translations on demand, while Circle to Search with Google expands instant context and translation capabilities across any text or image on screen.
Samsung has reimagined hardware synergy with a newly redesigned S Pen. The updated hexagonal body offers a more natural grip, while the new cone-shaped tip supports advanced tilt angles for precise drawing and writing. Sticky Notes make it possible to jot down sudden ideas without breaking out of the current task, while Quick Tools provide floating access to adjustments for smoother editing and sketching sessions. Together with the Book Cover Keyboard Slim and the Galaxy AI Key, the S11 series transforms into a full mobile workstation, equally fit for meetings, design projects, or academic note-taking.
Samsung DeX has also received major enhancements, positioning the Galaxy Tab S11 series as a true productivity hub. Extended Mode allows dual-screen multitasking across the tablet and an external display, enabling users to reference materials on one screen while presenting on another. DeX now supports up to four personalized workspaces, tailored to different contexts such as work, creative projects, or travel planning. These upgrades make it possible to build a full-scale digital environment on the move, from the airport lounge to the boardroom.
Underneath the elegant design lies Samsung’s most advanced tablet performance to date. The new 3nm processor delivers major efficiency and speed improvements, including a 33% boost in NPU, 24% in CPU, and 27% in GPU performance on the S11 Ultra. This is matched with optimized thermal management and long-lasting battery capacity, ensuring the tablets can handle intensive workflows without compromise. The Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, with up to 1600 nits peak brightness and ultra-slim bezels, provide a clear, vivid canvas both indoors and outdoors.
The Galaxy Tab S11 series also brings users into an ecosystem of third-party creative and productivity apps. Partnerships include Goodnotes (1-year free version), Clip Studio Paint (6-month trial with discount), LumaFusion (discount plus free Creator Pass), and Notion (1-month Plus trial with AI). Additional apps like Noteshelf, ArcSite, Sketchbook, and Picsart expand flexibility for professionals, students, and artists, creating a versatile platform for work, ideation, and expression.
Launching with One UI 8, the Galaxy Tab S11 series represents the beginning of a broader rollout of Samsung’s latest interface, which will expand to the Galaxy Tab S10 series starting in October. Available in Gray and Silver, the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra became available on September 4 in Canada, marking a significant step in Samsung’s strategy to merge AI intelligence with refined tablet hardware for the next era of mobile computing.
